Adoption is a lifelong journey for all members of the adoption Galaxy. It may help to learn about, the significance of sibling relationships, therapeutic parenting, being open-hearted and the impact of adverse childhood experiences.

Fundraising

The ACO relies on donations to fund nearly 50% of our programs.  We do receive funding from the MCCSS for our AdoptOntario program, a portion of our Pathways 2 Permanency Training and Centralized Adoption Intake Services.  We need donations to fund crucial support to our community such as; child and youth hang-out sessions and Pathways 2 Permanence training for foster parents or relatives who are caring for a child but have not adopted.   In our 2022 needs assessment survey (Banks, 2022) we learned from our community that Pathways 2 Permanency is a crucial helped them navigate the lifelong permanency journey. Your donation will help us provide this training support to foster and kin families.
