A Warm Greeting from Pat

Date: December 8, 2018 Author: ACO Administrator Categories: Holiday

How could we express our feelings about this holiday season any better. It speaks to the hopefulness and magic that we all sense as we celebrate traditions over this holiday season. For the Adoption Council of Ontario (ACO), the hopefulness and magic is part of every day and you are part of our community.

ACO exists to ensure that children who are waiting for a family are connected with stable and loving families through adoption and that their families have the guidance and support they need to help their children heal from early life trauma and loss. We have been blessed to see all of our programs grow this year in both successful outcomes and capacity to continue to answer the call for adoptive families. The generous support of our donors, partners and families has helped us at every turn in 2018.

I am so often reminded by our families of how ACO has been there for them over many phases of their journey through adoption. Recently, an adoptive parent shared story with us.

In 2019, ACO hopes to help even more of the 4,500 waiting children connect with families and provide guidance and support for families ongoing.

Your continued financial support will help to continue to Build the Village of Permanency and Adoption Supports for Ontario families who have made the lifelong commitment to be the forever family for a waiting child – from our foster care system and from around the world.

This year, give the gift of family on behalf of a family member or loved one. It's simple!

Make a donation to the Adoption Council of Ontario online: Give a Gift of Family.

Let us know the name of a person you would like to 'gift' your donation to and we will send them a card. We will inform them that you believe in the miracle of family and made a donation to ACO in their name.

If you would like more information – or have any questions, please contact us at info@adoption.on.ca.

Warmest Wishes,
