The AdoptOntario program builds critical connections to support permanency for children and youth in Extended Society Care.
Through the blending of clinical support and technology-based resources, AdoptOntario provides possibilities for meaningful matching between children, youth, and prospective adoptive parents across the province.
The site takes two forms—a public and professional version—which are designed to provide tailored support to both prospective adoptive families and adoption professionals.
The Public Site Provides:
- Event information, including the Adoption Resource Events
- Access to the ARE Online Platform (Access for events are event specific)
- The Waiting Child Listing (varied access based on AdoptReady status)
- Expression of Interest forms
- Kids Korner
- Information on PRIDE training (schedule and details)
- Resources and education
The Adoption Professional Site Provides:
- The Adoption Resources Databank
- Automated monthly emails with information on potential matches
- A matching tool that identifies potential matches between children/youth and prospective adoptive families
- Access to the ARE Online Platform
