The Adoption Council of Ontario is excited to invite you to the upcoming Grand River Zone (GRZ) Regional ARE 2023 this fall! The GRZ Regional ARE will be hosted in person at Peel Children’s Aid Society on Sunday, October 1st, 2023 from 10AM – 3PM. GRZ Regional ARE 2023 Event DetailsDate: Sunday, October 1st, 2023 Unsure if you are in the GRZ Region or a neighbouring area? Here is a list of the Children’s Aid Societies (CAS) in the GRZ Region and neighbouring areas. Child and Family Services of Grand Erie, Catholic CAS of Hamilton, CAS of Hamilton, Dufferin Child & Family Services, Family & Children’s Services of Guelph and Wellington County, Family & Children’s Services Niagara, Family & Children’s Services of the Waterloo Region, Halton CAS, Peel CAS, CAS Oxford, CAS London and Middlesex, Family and Children’s Services of St. Tomas and Elgin County, Huron Perth CAS, Bruce Grey Child and Family Services, Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions, York Region CAS, Catholic CAS of Toronto, CAS Toronto, Jewish Family and Child Service of Toronto, Durham CAS and Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society. Please note that registration for this event is limited. This is an in person event and your registration confirms you will be attending the event in person. If you are not able to make the event, please update your registration form to allow other families to register.
What families can expect at the GRZ Regional ARE 2023On October 1st, we welcome prospective adoptive parents in the Grand River Zone region to participate in a day of education and conversations. The morning will begin with a diverse group of experts and experienced adoptive parents discussing the topic of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Following the panel discussion, representatives from the Resource Village will take stage and provide a brief overview of how their organizations support children, youth, prospective parents, and families. The afternoon will be dedicated to conversations between prospective adoptive parents and participating Children’s Aid Society workers. Families will also have the opportunity to connect and learn more from the representatives in the Resource Village.
