On Tuesday, August 9th, 2022, AdoptOntario invites you to A Day in My Life, an Online Adoption Event. Not only will you have an opportunity to learn more about adoption and available resources, but you will also learn about an amazing group of children looking for permanency. Register now

What is A Day in My Life?

Each child is unique in their routines and rhythms, and the structure of their day reflects the pieces of their life that are important in supporting who they are as individuals. Join AdoptOntario on August 9th to hear about a day in the life of an incredible group of young people, and get a sense of what it would be like to be a part of their world.

This Online Adoption Event is open to prospective adoptive families that are at any stage in the adoption process.

Recommended WebinarsThe Adoption Council of Ontario provides specialized training and education for all those touched by adoption and permanency journeys. There is a framework for understanding adoption and permanency journeys and all those living these journeys can benefit from this knowledge. In preparation for A Day in My Life, we welcome you to watch free on-demand webinars on The Importance of Permanency and Transitional Planning.

What to Expect at an Online Adoption EventAt an Online Adoption Event, you will learn more about children, youth or sibling groups who are seeking adoptive parent(s), as well as information and resources about adoption. A presentation will be led by an AdoptOntario Clinical Coordinator who will be accompanied by the children/youths’ adoption workers. They will provide you with information about the children/youths’ interests, personality, needs, supports, and what an adoptive family would look like for these children or youth. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to hear from and ask questions to either an adoption professional or adoptive parent(s) regarding their experiences within adoption.

This announcement is produced by the AdoptOntario program for prospective adoptive families and adoption workers and practitioners in Ontario. The information is intended to educate those interested in adoption about news, events and programs pertinent to their practice and/or journey.
