Join us Tuesday, February 13th, 2024, for the Online Adoption Event, Forever Bond. At the heart of this event, we celebrate the connection between siblings. Our evening will begin learning about amazing groups of siblings seeking permanency. Following the presentations, we will dive into an educational session and discuss related resources. We look forward to hosting you!
What is Forever Bond?
The connection between siblings is like no other, and this is especially true for children and youth who have lived through adverse experiences. Maintaining these relationships provides young people with a sense of safety during difficult times, reduces the trauma of separation and loss, and helps to build their identity. Keeping siblings together is a priority, as we know the importance of sibling relationships for a child or youth’s sense of emotional development and sense of self. Forever Bond is a space created in the hope of finding those wonderful, special families that will allow these siblings to grow and learn side by side so they can continue their life story – together.

What to Expect at an Online Adoption Event
At an Online Adoption Event, you will learn more about children, youth or sibling groups who are seeking adoptive parent(s), as well as information and resources about adoption. A presentation will be led by an AdoptOntario Clinical Coordinator who will be accompanied by the children/youths’ adoption workers. They will provide you with information about the children/youths’ interests, personality, needs, supports, and what an adoptive family would look like for these children or youth. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to hear from and ask questions to either an adoption professional or adoptive parent(s) regarding their experiences within adoption.
