Pathways for Kin Caregivers – Fall 2026

Pathways to Permanence is a multi-sessional psycho-educational program

Eligibility:

This Pathways is funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, for Kin Caregivers (including Kin in Care, Kin in Service, Legal Guardians and Customary Care parents).

Participants must be registered with Interwoven Connections’ Peer to Peer Support Network in order to participate in this Pathways program.  For more information about the Peer to Peer Support Network or to confirm your registration please contact [email protected].

We also offer Pathways for adoptive families (including parents pre adoption finalization) or foster-to-adopt parents, who have adopted (or be fostering-to-adopt) through a Children’s Aid Society. If you would like to be kept in the loop on when these offerings become available, please be sure to sign up for our newsletter.

Location: Online via Zoom (The Zoom link will be emailed to registrants closer to the event date; please see below for technical requirements).

Time: Wednesday Evenings; 6:30pm to 9:30pm

• Session 1: October 21
• Session 2: October 28
• Session 3: November 4
• Session 4: November 11
• Session 5: November 18
• Session 6: November 25
• Session 7: December 2
• Session 8: December 9
• Session 9 (Decoding): Sessions available after your offering.

Additional Details

Who: This training is for parents and caregivers where a placement has already occurred.

Cost: This course is being offered at NO cost to participants thanks to funding from the Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services.

Technical & set-up requirement: 

• Laptop or desktop computer with functioning webcam and microphone capabilities.
• Strong/stable internet connection with a speed of at least 10mbps
  
• In order to preserve families’ privacy and comfort levels, anyone other than another Pathways participant, should not be in the same room with you while participating in a Pathways Zoom session; this includes children and teens.

Facilitator(s): This program will be facilitated by ACO PACT Program trainers.

Certificate: A certificate of completion is available after the offering is complete.
