November 22, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Youth Profile Night

*Images are stock photos and not of actual youth being profiled

AdoptOntario is pleased to invite you to a Youth Profile Night on Tuesday, November 22nd. This is an opportunity for you to get to know two lovely twin girls who are waiting for an adoptive family. Register now!

The event will begin with a day in the life of these amazing young people and will be followed by a presentation by the youths’ worker and a panel discussion with adoptive parents who are on their own permanency journeys.

Meet the Youth

Charlotte and Daisy are a fun pair of girls, with a great sense of humour. Like most 15-year-olds, you can catch them goofing around with TikTok or Snapchat, however, they also enjoy a good mystery novel! These two sisters are seeking a family who is suitable for their lifestyle and needs.

The youth and the agency are open to both single and two-parent families who are  AdoptReady or in the process of completing their Homestudy. Families of all racial backgrounds are welcome, though a bi-racial family would be ideal.

The Adoption Council of Ontario provides specialized training and education for all those touched by adoption and permanency journeys. There is a framework for understanding adoption and permanency journeys and all those living these journeys can benefit from this knowledge. In preparation for Charlotte and Daisy’s Profile Night, we welcome you to watch free on-demand webinars on The Importance of Siblings, Internet & Social Media Considerations, and Parenting Teens on Adoption & Permanency Journeys.

What to Expect at Our Youth Profile Night

At the event, you will learn more about youth who are seeking adoptive parent(s), as well as information and resources about permanency and adoption. The presentation will be led by an AdoptOntario Clinical Coordinator, and will be accompanied by the youth’s adoption worker. They will provide you with information about the youth’s interests, personality, needs, supports, and what permanency would look like for them. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to hear from and ask questions to either an adoption professional or adoptive parent(s) regarding their experiences within adoption, and to have your questions answered.

This announcement is produced by the AdoptOntario program for prospective adoptive families and adoption workers and practitioners in Ontario. The information is intended to educate those interested in adoption about news, events and programs pertinent to their practice and/or journey.
