Hi there! My name is Jaelyn, and I’m an eight-year-old girl! I love music, singing, and dancing! My favorite movies are “Frozen,” “Sing,” and “Encanto” because they have lots of great songs. Sometimes I dance along to the music, and other times I snuggle up with my family on the couch. |

| I’m a happy and friendly kid, and my worker says I’m a joy to be around. I have some people who help me, like therapists and support workers, and I get along well with them. I’m an active and cheerful person, and my caregivers make sure I feel safe and loved. They help me learn new things, and I feel better when I have a routine and know what to expect. |
I have the support of an Educational Assistant in the classroom and participate in speech and language therapy. I am on a waiting list for a special classroom that will fully support my learning. |
| I have a close relationship with my two sisters. Once I get adopted, my family will need to support and foster the relationship between me and my sisters. I really want to stay connected with my foster family even after I find my adoptive family. I hope my adoptive family will be patient and loving and support me in everything I do. |
Sometimes, I need a little extra help when I’m feeling hurt, scared, or frustrated. My caregivers are always there to comfort me and make me feel better. At home, I have a special program called Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). My therapists help me learn social skills and new things while playing games and doing puzzles. To communicate with my classmates, foster family, and all the other important people in my life, I mainly use hand-over-hand direction. |
| I’m excited to find a family who will love and care for me just the way I am. They can be one or two parents, and it doesn’t matter if they’re just starting the adoption process or have been looking for a while. I’m just happy to be part of a loving family! |
