Support & Connections

The Adoption Council of Ontario believes that connections and support are key for everyone involved on what we know are life-long adoption and permanency journeys. When we connect with one another as adoption and permanency “galaxy” members and have the opportunity for support, we gain a deeper understanding of the complexities underlying our journeys, we feel heard and understood, less alone and isolated, and are better able to make sense of our journeys, and ultimately ourselves.

For professionals, adoption and permanency work is a specialty field. Those professionals working with adoption and permanency galaxy members benefit from connections and support through platforms such as communities of practice to best support their clients.
